Roots to River Farm CSA Offers Vegetables and Flowers

Summer shares are now available for the Roots to River Farm community supported agriculture (CSA) program in New Hope. Full and half shares are offered to area residents in a program running from June through October.

In addition to 10-15 pounds of fruits and vegetables either weekly (full share) or biweekly (half share) members receive share updates and recipes in a weekly newsletter and are invited to events and volunteer opportunities on the farm. A flower share is also available, including 16 weekly or 8 biweekly fresh bouquets.

Roots to River Farm grows over 250 varieties of vegetables without pesticides or chemicals and with the intention of nurturing the soil and ecology of the land. The farm aims to transcend the economic, ecological and cultural devastation created by the industrial agriculture system by providing high-quality, organic produce directly to its local community.

Location: 3211 N. Sugan Rd., New Hope. For more information, call 215-833-5215 or visit RootsToRiverFarm.com. April 2014.
