Registration Open for Cycle Bucks County

The fourth annual Cycle Bucks County, the premier one-day charity bicycle tour through Bucks County, has opened registration for the June 21 ride. Renowned for its beautiful course and ideal riding conditions, the event supports The Richard A. Reif Heart Institute of Doylestown Hospital to honor the memory of Tara L. Riedley, who passed away suddenly and tragically from an undiagnosed heart condition in 2008.

The Cycle Bucks County ride is organized by the Tara L. Riedley Foundation in association with the New Hope-Solebury Community Association. “The ride was founded originally as a tribute to our daughter Tara, but through the work of so many in our community it has become so much more,” says Roger Riedley, director of the foundation and Tara’s father. “Cycle Bucks County is honored to support the Richard A. Reif Heart Institute of Doylestown Hospital. What better way to support this cause than through a ride that is a fun, healthy and adventurous activity—something that Tara would have thoroughly enjoyed.”

The event is for riders of all skill levels and includes four ride options: 10 miles for kids and families, 25 miles for cycling enthusiasts and 50 and 60 mile rides for serious cyclists. Registration includes a free t-shirt, food, children’s activities and a raffle with many great prizes.

Individual registration is $50 for adults before May 31, $25 for junior riders (ages 12-17) and $5 for children under 12. Families can register together for the 10-mile family ride for $50. Location: New Hope-Solebury High School, 180 W. Bridge St., New Hope.
