Farm Fresh Film Series Presents: A Place at the Table

In the final event of its 2014 Farm Fresh Film Series, the Doylestown Food Co-op—in partnership with the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance (BCFA)—will present a screening of A Place at the Table, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., November 13, at the County Theater, in Doylestown. The film shows how hunger poses serious economic, social and cultural implications for our nation, and reveals how hunger can be eliminated once and for all.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion with on-topic experts who will discuss key ideas in the film. The community is invited and encouraged to participate in the conversation. As part of its community outreach project, the co-op partners with the BCFA and community sponsors to highlight documentary films that tackle issues inherent in our food system today. Attendees are asked to bring a healthy canned good or fresh produce to benefit our local food pantry.

The Doylestown Food Co-op is a member-owned, community oriented, full service grocery market open to everyone. BCFA works to strengthen our farming economy and improve availability of local, healthy, sustainably grown food by connecting farmers, consumers and other stakeholders in education, government, healthcare and business in Bucks County.

Cost: $8 for co-op members, $10 for non-members. Location: County Theater, 20 E. State St., Doylestown. Tickets are available at CountyTheater.org, Doylestown.coop or at the Doylestown Food Co-op at 29 W. State St., Doylestown. For more information, call 215-348-4548 or visit Doylestown.coop.
