Celebrity Chef Farm-to-Table Dinner Presented By Doylestown Food Co-op

The Doylestown Food Co-op will host its inaugural Celebrity Chef Farm-to-Table Dinner, from 6 to 9 p.m., August 22, at the Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow. The dinner—prepared by renowned chef and Mayor of Doylestown, Ron Strouse—serves as the co-op’s largest fundraiser of the year and will be a community gathering with food prepared using ingredients from local farms.

Strouse, with a background in dining and hospitality, previously co-owned and operated Evermay On-The-Delaware, a historic inn in Erwinna, before entering into public service.

“We are incredibly excited to have renowned chef Ron Strouse creating a gourmet experience using the best that our local farmers are producing,” says John LaSala, co-op board member and fundraising chair. “With that, the beauty of Honey Hollow and the extended reach supported by VisitBucks.com, this promises to be the co-op’s biggest, best and most fun event ever.”

The dining experience will be accompanied by a silent auction and music by local jazz quartet, Jazz with Friends. The co-op is currently accepting volunteers for the event and sponsorship inquiries. The dinner is BYOB.

Cost: $75 for co-op members; $95 for non-members. Location: 2877 Creamery Rd., New Hope. For more information, call 215-348-4548 or visit FarmToTable.Doylestown.coop. August 2015.
