What do you do?
I’m a master herbalist, an intuitive wellness coach and a certified comprehensive iridology instructor. I teach people how to take care of their own health, guided by the science of reading the iris.
How does iridology integrate with your work?
Iridology is definitely the most important aspect of my practice. We are all genetically unique, but unfortunately health advice, especially dietary suggestions, tends to be offered as though we all fit into the same box. By looking at and reading the iris, I am able to gather information from the deepest level of the body. This information is crucial for any herbal and nutritional suggestions, and it avoids trial and error.
How did you get interested in this work?
I am originally from Austria. Iridology is much more widely practiced in Europe and abroad, and I was always compelled by how ancient this work is. I noticed that the United States holds many people working in alternative healing, but that there weren’t too many doing iridology.
What have you observed about your patients during the time you have been practicing?
I’ve noticed that more people are willing to look to alternative protocols than to medication or surgery now than they were even a few years ago, even if it means more effort on their part. Healing with herbs and through iridology does take more patience and commitment, but I think more people are waking up to the fact that if they can treat the root cause of their ailments, they will ultimately be better off than just treating the symptoms.
What is the one thing that you wish more people knew about their health?
Our bodies speak, but many of us have stopped listening. We need to get back in touch with hearing what our bodies are trying to communicate. If we stretch our thinking, our bodies will stay flexible spiritually, emotionally and physically.
