Yoga, Music and More at Namas Day Spring Yoga Festival

The Namas Day yoga festival returns to Philadelphia April 23. The day-long event will take place from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the WHYY building on Independence Mall, 150 North Sixth Street, in downtown Philadelphia. Held biannually, Namas Day is a locally produced yoga and health event that features a blend of classes, music and meditation led by area instructors from Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware and the surrounding areas. The April event marks the seventh Namas Day in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Attendees can choose among many programs, including vinyasa “flow”, kundalini, bhakti, mantra, meditation and mindfulness-based practices, and lecture discussions. All levels and interests are welcome, and attendees can build their own schedule when they register.

A yoga-oriented marketplace will offer gear and products, including yoga mats and clothing, organically made soaps and oils, locally produced kombucha and business services for yoga studio owners.

“The combination of the right music at the right time and the wonderful teachers makes Namas Day a really great experience,” says Philly Area Yoga and Namas Day founder Mary Fetterman.
