Natural Awakenings Bucks and Montgomery Counties PA

Local Lavender Farm Store Opens Its Doors

Troy and Wendy Jochems, owners of Hope Hill Lavender Farm, invite the public to attend their grand opening event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on May 13, celebrating their new lavender farm store at 2375 Panther Valley Road, Pottsville. The southern Schuylkill County farm, which is centrally located to Harrisburg, Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia and the Poconos, is coordinating the event with its yearly lavender plant sale.

“The farm store is a major upgrade to working off of a farm cart for the last five years,” says Wendy Jochems. Hope Hill’s high-quality products, like lavender essential oil and lavender water, are produced on-site through a distilling process that can be observed on the farm during lavender season. Hope Hill Lavender Farm also harvests lavender for culinary purposes.

Evening photo opportunities on the farm for photographers seeking “magic hour” pictures will commence as the summer season gets underway in June. Additionally, summer Saturday tours will be available. Hope Hill is a veteran-owned, PA Preferred, Homegrown by Heroes farm.
