Airmid Wellness and Counseling Offers Group Therapy Sessions Starting Soon

Airmid Wellness and Counseling Center, of Warrington, is offering a range of group therapy and wellness programs to support local families and individuals.

“People often feel as though they are the only ones experiencing problems. In a group, they can look around, know that they are not alone and feel supported,” says Airmid’s Co-Founder, Dottie Kelly, a licensed professional counselor, EMDR practitioner and registered nurse.

The therapy groups are forming now. Each will meet for four to six weeks beginning at the end of September. All programs are led by highly trained, licensed and experienced mental health professionals.

Teen Empowerment for Girls Ages 14 to 17 helps young women to learn about the strengths of their personality to help them make good choices, avoid peer pressure and deal with bullying. Interested parties should call 267-897-3327.

For kids on the Autism Spectrum, along with children that carry diagnoses of PTSD, ADHD, ODD, anxiety and depression can benefit from Social Skills for Ages 7 to 11. Sessions provide intensive and fun social skills training to take out into society for children with and without diagnoses. Call 484-380-5587.

For kids that have been impacted by sexual abuse, Airmid offers Courage to Heal for Kids and Teens The group session adds the support and shared experiences of peers who have been through similar situations. Call 484-380-5587.

Managing Time for Sports & the Rest of Your Life is designed for high school and college student-athletes to help them to manage the stress of the combination of school and sports and find a balance among all of life’s responsibilities. Call 267- 272-5320.
