New Program for Tension and Trauma at Airmid Wellness

Airmid Wellness and Counseling Center is now offering Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) group sessions at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday at their center in Warminster. Certified providers Mike Thomas and Danielle Ivins-Fishman co-teach this self-healing modality, designed to help release deep tension created in the body through chronic stress or trauma.

An easy series of exercises and stretches, TRE assists the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. By safely activating a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating, muscular tension is released, calming the nervous system. When this tremoring is activated in a safe environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.

Anyone can enjoy benefits of TRE. After six to eight classes or individual sessions, it can be practiced at home. TRE integrates well with traditional therapies because it is designed to heal at the deepest levels of neurophysiology, where stress and traumatic “fear” responses originate.

Airmid Wellness and Counseling Center provides classes, workshops and private sessions to support mind-body integration and healing for comprehensive well-being. Offered are yoga, pilates, meditation and other wellness services.

Cost: $30. Private sessions also available. Location: 1260 Old York Rd., Hartsville Professional Village, Warminster. For more information, call Mike Thomas at 215-292-9834, email [email protected] or visit AirmidWellness.com. TRE information at TraumaPrevention.com. September 2018
