DIY – Whipped Body Butter: Easy, just 4 ingredients!

Winter is here and our skin is getting chapped and dry. To combat this, we made this quick and easy recipe for whipped body butter with just 4 ingredients and takes just minutes to make!

While I used a Blendtec for this, it couldn’t be easier to make your own with a blender and hand mixer.

INGREDIENTS:

1 C. Pure Unrefined Shea Butter
1 C. Organic Cold Pressed Coconut Oil
1 Tbsp. Jojoba Oil
2 Tbsp. Vegetable Glycerin (optional)

Note: I used vegetable glycerine as our family’s skin is notoriously dry in the winter. You can opt to leave this out.

Grilled Pecan Crusted Salmon

Make Your Own Toothpaste

Commercial toothpaste contains many chemical and controversial ingredients, including triclosan, glycerine, and saccherin.  However, fluoride is the main reason why the FDA insisted that toothpaste carry the poison warning. Part of the poison risk comes from the child’s still-developing swallowing skills; instead of spitting the toothpaste out, they may swallow it instead.
