Volunteers Needed for Women’s Fundraiser
This year, the programs to be funded will focus on the mind, body and spirit of young women. To nurture the mind, the Bucks County Intermediate Unit will host a science, technology, engineering and math conference for more than 300 Bucks County girls. Central Bucks Family YMCA will provide health and wellness programs to give high school girls the knowledge and opportunity to reach health goals. A Woman’s Place will focus on nurturing the spirit by teaching teenage girls how to effectively communicate, pursue ambitions and become a leader.
Managed by women, the Bucks County Women’s Initiative creates opportunities for women and girls to close the gender gap, advocates for social change and promotes a culture of philanthropy among women and girls.
