Silver Lake Nature Center Partners with PA Master Naturalists

This fall, the Pennsylvania Master Naturalist volunteer training program is partnering with Silver Lake Nature Center, in Bristol, to prepare citizens to become volunteer leaders reaching out to their communities through natural resource conservation education, citizen science and stewardship. The training—including 55 hours of classroom and field sessions—will take place at Silver Lake from September 16 to November 11.

PA Master Naturalist is an annual volunteer leadership program including volunteer training, annual volunteer service and continuing education in the natural sciences.Master Naturalist volunteers design and pursue a wide variety of service projects from habitat restoration and native plantings, to education programs and interpretative displays or publications on natural history, to water quality monitoring and supporting the natural resource conservation efforts of partnering organizations. Interested individuals can apply by June 2 at PAMasterNaturalist.org.

The Silver Lake Nature Center is a 235-acre nature preserve located in Bristol Township, Bucks County. It is a facility of the Bucks County Department of Parks & Recreation with additional funding and staffing provided by the Friends of Silver Lake Nature Center.
