Screening of American Meat Takes a Look at U.S. Agriculture Industry
Through a series of interviews with farmers, director Graham Meriwether gets at the heart of what is eating the U.S. agricultural industry, from concerns in the realm of industrial farming to breakthroughs in technology and methods of small-scale farming. The documentary also takes a look at the impact of industrial farming on communities and discusses small-scale farming, hinting at a shortage of farmers in coming generations and placing emphasis on alternative agricultural models.
The film focuses on understanding the inner workings of the agricultural industry and what issues and concerns the United States will have to address in the next generations as more and more small-scale farmers—like their customers—turn from industrial toward alternative methods of agriculture.
