Kimberton Waldorf School, serving students from early childhood through grade twelve, will be offering an outdoor, nature-based kindergarten program beginning in the 2015-2016 academic year. Children ages 4 through 6 may be eligible to attend the half-day kindergarten program.
In the new Forest, Field and Farm Kindergarten, the classroom is the school’s 430-acre campus, with its hills, farm and gardens, conservation trail, creeks and wooded areas. The outdoor program encourages children to connect with the Earth, themselves and others through exploration of animal habitats, nature crafts, water and sand play, farm chores, hiking, swinging and more.
Kimberton Waldorf School seeks to inspire a lifelong love of learning in all students and to enable each to fully develop his or her unique capacities.
