Kripalu-Inspired Yoga Teacher Training Open House
The spring Yoga Teacher Training, which runs from April through December, is held the first weekend of each month on both Saturday and Sunday. Trainees, who are required to have at least one year of yoga experience, also attend 18 Anahata Yoga classes and two chakra workshops (or a full-day chakra intensive) during that time. The curriculum includes teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, yoga philosophy and ethics, and practicum. Electives, such as Teaching Beginner’s Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Ayurveda and the Chakra system, are also offered.
“This is a unique program for many reasons. We are the only Kripalu-certified studio in Pennsylvania, and we include trauma-informed and restorative yoga modules in our core training,” says studio founder and owner, Kathleen Tooley.
For over five years, Anahata Yoga and Wellness Center has offered yoga, ayurveda, meditation and reiki classes, workshops and special events with a focus on using yoga as a tool for self-healing and personal transformation. Their Kripalu-based approach teaches students to reduce stress and anxiety, experience the pleasure of deep breathing, cultivate compassion for themselves and others and to move mindfully in a non-competitive environment.
Cost: $2,500 when paid in full 30 days prior to start of training. Payment plans available. Location: 703 Harleysville Pk., Harleysville. For more information and to register, call 215-740-1354 or visit AnahataYogaWellness.com.
