New, Medically Based Fitness Program for Women

Wholistic Fitness, a North Wales women’s wellness center, has announced the launch of a new, medically based fitness program that addresses what many exercise classes ignore—how to improve continence, balance, core stability and sexual gratification. The eight-week Total Control program runs from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., beginning on January 10, and focuses on strengthening and stabilizing the pelvic pyramid—for flatter tummies, tighter abdomens and improved pelvic health and sex life.

The no-impact program, founded by the Women’s Health Foundation, is designed for women of all ages, takes place once a week and includes 60 minutes of exercise followed by 15 minutes of essential tips to enhance pelvic health and fitness.

“The exercises address all major pelvic muscle groups and go way beyond typical Kegel movements,” says Julie Yunaska, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Specialist and Orthopedics Physical Therapist/personal trainer at Wholistic Fitness. “Participants learn how to unleash their body’s potential so they can enjoy better balance, better sex, address control/continent issues and increase energy and confidence.”

Wholistic Fitness is a community of women, resources and services specifically designed to help women live healthier, happier lives. The center offers a variety of services for women including acupuncture, psychotherapy, nutrition counseling, personal training, physical therapy, massage therapy, small group fitness classes and boot camps.

Location: Wholistic Fitness, 217 Church Rd., North Wales. For more information, call 267-613-8246 or visit WholisticFitnessOnline.com. December 2014.
